Deb Volunteered For The Mission Of Mercy Project

Last week Deb volunteered to help set up the Mission of Mercy project. Mission of Mercy is a two day MASH-style free dental clinic designed to treat the most pressing needs of patients who would normally not have access to dental care. Each year the MOM travels to a different city in Wisconsin. This year Green Bay’s KI Center hosted the 2 day clinic on June 27-28. Over 1,000 volunteers from all around the state helped provide services including oral surgery, extractions, restorations, pediatric care, dental hygiene, and patient education. The goal was to provide $1 million dollars worth of charitable dental treatment. At the close of day one, over half that goal had been met. 600+ volunteers attended the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner held at Lambeau Field Atrium Friday evening. The dinner was a nice way of thanking everyone for their contributions, however the true reward was seeing the gratitude and joy on the faces of patients who had long awaited this treatment. Mission of Mercy, 2014, was a huge success!!!
